visible-phone module suffix not working with Afterburner2?

Hi,
In order to implement a responsive vertical menu, and as per David's advice at www.rockettheme.com/forum/index.php?f=67...01856&rb_v=viewtopic I have set up RokNavMenu in the top-a position using the AfterBurner2 template with the "visible-phone" module suffix.
I have a standard Joomla menu in the sidebar with module suffix "hidden-phone" to implement the desktop and tablet version of the menu.
Unfortunately, RokNavMenu is being shown on the desktop and tablet versions of the website.
I am using Joomla 3.1.5.
Any suggestions?
