    RockSprocket 2.1.1 Broken

Posted 11 years 1 month ago
    • I have just updated to the latest version and it has broken my Mosaic

I am using J3.2.3, Hadron Template.

The option to choose/change content provider has frozen
All articles are have an article tag that cannot be removed
All search options are on and cannot be changed.

I have reverted back to V2.0.6 to get things working again.

      Anybody having similar issues

    • Hi.

Thanks but this is not a cache issue, re-installing the previous version is what is proven to work.

    • I think they disabled the ability to toggle between content types because previously when you changed that you lost everything that was there... so by forcing you to create a new RS module it prevents you from losing your data on your "old" one.

I don't see any tags in your screenshots

the sort options all coming back may be a new bug

    • I have the same problem. I'm using J3.3.6 with Chapelco Template/Gantry Framework.
Updating in October to the latest Joomla and Gantry broke the Mosaic, which is weird. I have the same problems described where I cannot choose or change the content type from Mosaic to anything else.
All Articles have article tags that could be removed, but is a pain across all of the 30+ mosaics of over a thousand articles we have tags on. The removal has to be done manually by selecting an option underneath the article description in each Mosaic module.
The tags turn into search options, which can only be disabled by the said method, manually.

I also can't seem to get the responsive module to obey a simple rule to only show 2 lines of title, so the Mosaic shows weirdly across different interfaces and whether browser is resized.

Finally, the rokbox video pops up exactly every other time, when accessed from a mobile device. Also strange...Anyway, sorry to mention so many different things in one, but thought it might be similar or same as the previous poster's.

    • You can no longer change Layout types from within an already created Module... this was a bad/buggy feature to begin with and since we've added a ton more Layouts the option was done away with... you need to create new modules to achieve a different layout...

The tags disappearing is a known/by design behavior (the coding requires a default, and the default is ALL)... there are LOTS of threads (just search) on code for various templates on how to hide it with CSS.

You need to open new threads for your other issues
