      Hello,

Joomla 2.5.27 with multilanguage articles (nativ Joomla feature). RokaAjax only find articles from default-language (german de-DE) and not the english articles (en-GB). Problem exists with and without SEF active. The nativ Jommla Search finds all articles.

      Thanks for any hints

    • It should search each language based on what language is current... are you wanting/expecting it to return results for both languages simultaneously?

Can you explain in detail how to recreate the behavior? (specific links, specific clicks/settings, search string)

    • Thanky you for your quick response.

The german version (default language) retrieves correct (german only) results

Try the term "gum" for example

The englisch version doesn't retrieve english results at all - no matter which term you enter

      Try any term

    • Are they seperate modules?

If you change the "Search page URL" (and Advanced) to en/index.php?option=com_search&view=search&tmpl=component with the RokAjaxSearch Module options, will it fetch the English results?

I'm assuming you have content/articles published under the /en/ language?

    • @ I'm assuming you have content/articles published under the /en/ language?

Yes. If you click on the core language switcher (first column) you see the normal change of the language version.

@ If you change the "Search page URL" (and Advanced) to en/index.php?option=com_search&view=search&tmpl=component with the RokAjaxSearch Module options, will it fetch the English results?

In this case there is an endless rotating egg timer

      @ Are they seperate modules?

No, one module, but the behaviour is the same if I use separate modules

    • Additional information:

The Joomla 2.5 site is a migration from a Joomla 1.5 site

The search field retrieves both in the german version and in the english version only german articles.

    • I really don't know... I'd personally say if Joomla Search is working, just use that...

But you can also post Super User credentials in the Secure Tab of a Full Reply and perhaps I or someone more familiar with Multi Language sites here at RT can take a look
