Hello,
I've just installed the minievents module on a 3.3.4 joommla but it keeps trhrowing an "Could not create storage directory: /tmp/Google_Client/57" error
Browsing the forum I've found an answer pointing to an htaccess issue, but for the moment I have not htaccess activated.
I have tmp folder permissions set to 0775 and I've even tried to creat the Google_Client folder but nothing changed.
Any suggestion?
Thanks!
i) site > system information > directory permissions - are all GREEN (except config.php which should be red)
ii) check folders are 755, files 644 and that owner/group are correct using ftp client
iii) specifically check cache folder and css-compiled folder
iv) check that your are NOT using apachehandler for you hosting and that instead you are using fastCGI/cgi. If you are you need to correct this in cPanel or Plesk or ask your host to change this. Then you'll have to start again afresh.
v) Use the Joomla Forum Post Assistant to do detailed checks

I suspect you're using apache2handler rather that cgi/fastCGI and that it's therefore the owner/group that's wrong rather than the folder permission per se.

Ok let use know. It is possible to use apache2handler but most hosts rarely get the set-up correct and it would require you to use FTP in joomla global config too. It is much better and easier to use cgi/fastCgi.
