Does anyone know how I can stop the Novus menu from appearing in the left column? I only want the menu to appear in the top of the template.
I have managed to eliminate the left column...all except for the main menu items.
Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Jason
***** SOLVED ***** Well, I kept experimenting and decided to publish the mainmenu module to the unused "user9" position and that seems to have created the result I was looking for...namely, the left column is gone and the menu only appears on the top of the pages.
You can extra and they will be viewable aslong as your template has those positions,
www.yourwebsite.com/index.php?tp=1
will show the positions in your template, and if your using Joomla 1.0 go to site, template manager, module positions to add extras to the drop down list of module positions in admin
In 1.5 when you install a template I believe it just automatically lets you select from any of the template module positions, as they are specified in the template details
No, if you are using Joomla 1.5, and the 1.5 version of Novus, user9 should be there, if your using 1.0 just do as I stated a few posts ago and it will appear
It wasn't there - only up to User7. So I put it in templateDetails.xml, then hey it was there. And I set the module to that position and presto it's gone.
But ... that seems a wacky solution to me - surely the module should collapse when it's empty?
