SOLVED Gantry 5 "Service Unavailable" when trying to save a Layout / Outline

hi all,
my Galatea Template worked wonderful. however I pityfully did not make a backup when upgrading my Joomla to Version 4.4.9
The website is still up & running, but when I try to save any Outline > Layout I get the following Error Message:
"Service Unavailable - The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."
When I enable the "protocol" mode and try and look at the fileserver > admin > logs
I don't even find any error in the logfiles.
After no success I revert from the hoster admin panel to a one year old Backup with and old Joomla version before 4.4.9 and the gantry Layout save-button worked fine !!
So I decided to move on (because I didn't want to rebuild the website content of the whole year) and tried my best with an Joomla and MySQL update. Both didn't chance anything on the Error Message....
Can maybe someone give me an advice please? I'm running out of ideas =/ Thank you!
