  • RocketLauncher--Can't get past Database Configuration.

    • I've tried this on two servers with the same stopping point.

      I have copied all of the files onto my server. I have already created my MySQL database.

      I go to website:
      Run through through
      Language,
      PreInstallation Checklist
      License
      Setup Database Configuration (tried on two separate domains and servers).

      When I get ready, the "Next" button in top right corner simply doesn't execute.

      Any ideas?

    • Make sure that the data you entered is 100% correct and that all files got uploaded to the server. Btw, have you tried with another browser?

    • Thanks for the input. For others future reference.

      I tried with two different servers with two different browsers. Both failed. So, I realized that what I had done was unzip the original load, selected all of the files and folders and copied to ftp.

      So, I deleted the entire content from the server. This time, I copied the folder "Joomla_RT_Replicant2_j15", instead of the contents of the folder. Then I ran the folder from www.mysite.com/Joomla_RT_Replicant2_j15 . The complete installation ran with no errors. Afterwards I changed the name of the folder and updated the configuration.php file to match the new path.

      So, don't copy the contents of Joomla_RT_Replicant2_j15. Copy the folder.

      That is not necessary at all. I always extract the whole directory on my desktop and then upload everything to my Joomla root via FTP :)
