How to Remove Logo area and Top Module from Afterburner

I would like to remove everything above the nav module from the Afterburner template, but am afraid of seriously breaking it! Specifically, I'd like to remove the Top module and the Logo area from every page. (I'll be placing my logo in a custom module in the left position of every page to save screen real estate).
Could someone please help me through this process? I truly appreciate any help.
