For a free template AfterBurner is phenomenal.
With the arrival of Gantry, I would like to see a new version of AfterBurner built on Gantry - what better way to showcase RT technology?

hi adrian,
i doubt that afterburner or any other non-gantry template will ever be turned into a gantry template.
i am not a developer of course, but i imagine that this requires an incredible amount of work or might be even impossible, especially because afterburner is special in itself.
but you can check andy's blog post here, there are plans to make gantry 2.0 gpl:

I am not a developer either - hence the open question.
You may well be right, but OTOH Gantry is effectively a development platform in and of itself, and AfterBurner was developed as a lean and mean - hence fast loading - template.

I am just getting up to speed with Gantry after concluding a long-distance, across water home move, but I am extremely impressed with what I have seen so far, and would love to see Gantry applied to the creation of another lean, mean, fast template like Afterburner.
