Solar Sentinel Template HELP PLEASE

Hello, I am trying to emulate the menu in the 'toolbar' position of the Solar Sentinel template.
In the template configuration pages, under "Menu Assignment" it says 'Cannot Assign default template.
I would be very grateful if someone could briefly tell me the steps to achieve the blue horizontal drop down menu seen in this demo:

Here is my site. I want to put a menu I have ready in the blue position. I just uninstalled RockNavMenu because I want to use either the moomenu or suckerfish. Someone please advise. On my day 3 now of trying to find a decent drop-down menu.

this forum board is only for the free templates, not the solarsentinel template.
