Afterburner Showcase data

  • Afterburner Showcase data

    Posted 14 years 8 months ago
    • Hello,
      I am a template club member, but want to experiment with Afterburner.
      Is there any way to get the sample data so that my site will look like the Afterburner Demo site? In particular, I don't have the data to give me a header and the 3 dp33 divs like in the demo. How can I get my site to look like the demo site?
      Please discuss,
      Carl

      Sorry, maybe I missed something. This code does not pick up any of the styling.

      Please advise,
      Robert

    • Hello Robert,

      May I see your site link? Did you disable the wysiwyg editor temporary first and try to put above content inside the custom html module again?

      Hello Arifin FinLy

      Yes, I almost always use NO wysiwyg editor because it sometimes chokes on some code. Having said that here is the link to the site I am working on.

      www.semseopages.com

      Thanks in advance, :D

    • Hello Arifin FinLy

      The other thing I noticed was... The "Showcase" module does not stretch and or butt up with the header and body like the demo model.

      Any clues?

      Thanks in advance,
      Robert

    • Hello Robert,

      Could you please wrap the above content with the <div class="showcase">...</div> so it will be like the following?
      <div class="showcase">
      <h1>Looking for the fastest <b>Joomla</b> template?  <b>Afterburner</b> is fast, fully featured and <b>FREE!</b></h1>
      <h3>Speed Optimised <b>+</b> SEO Optimised <b>+</b> Beautiful Design <b>+</b> Fully Featured <b>+</b> Free!</h3>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">
              <div class="num">1</div>
              <h2>Fastest Joomla Template</h2>
              <p><b>Performance</b> is a key aspect of Afterburner, using techniques such as a single image and compressed css, to make the theme the <b>fastest</b> Joomla template ever!</p>
              <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=55&amp;Itemid=63" class="readon2"><span>Learn More</span></a>
          </div>
      </div>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">
              <div class="num">2</div>

              <p>Refined layout that places the main column <b>first</b> in the source, meaning it is crawled by <b>Google</b> first, perfect for search engine optimisation purposes.</p>
              <a href="index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=49&amp;Itemid=55" class="readon2"><span>Learn More</span></a>
          </div>
      </div>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">
              <div class="num">3</div>
              <h2>Light &amp; Dark Variations</h2>
              <p>8 distinct inbuilt style variations, <b>Light</b> and <b>Dark</b>, to maximise the possibilities when using the <b>Afterburner</b> template. All Controllable by template manager parameters.</p>

          </div>
      </div>

      </div>
      Please let me know the result. Also, could you please ensure once again whether you published the module in "showcase" module position? It seems you published it in different position though...

    • Arifin,

      The code you recommended did not work. The background was missing and no text formatting.

      URL: www.semseopages.com/index.php?option=com...icle&id=49&Itemid=61

      NOTE: I viewed the page source from the Afterburner demo site and used the following code:

      <div id="showcase" class="dp100">
                  <div class="background"></div>
                  <div class="foreground">
                      <div class="showcase">
      <h1>Looking for the fastest <b>Joomla</b> template?  <b>Afterburner</b> is fast, fully featured and <b>FREE!</b></h1>

      <h3>Speed Optimised <b>+</b> SEO Optimised <b>+</b> Beautiful Design <b>+</b> Fully Featured <b>+</b> Free!</h3>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">

              <div class="num">1</div>
              <h2>Fastest Joomla Template</h2>
              <p><b>Performance</b> is a key aspect of Afterburner, using techniques such as a single image and compressed css, to make the theme the <b>fastest</b> Joomla template ever!</p>
              <a href="/free/afterburner/features/fast-loading" class="readon2"><span>Learn More</span></a>

          </div>
      </div>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">
              <div class="num">2</div>
              <h2>Search Engine Optimised</h2>
              <p>Refined layout that places the main column <b>first</b> in the source, meaning it is crawled by <b>Google</b> first, perfect for search engine optimisation purposes.</p>

              <a href="/free/afterburner/features/optimised-layout" class="readon2"><span>Learn More</span></a>
          </div>
      </div>

      <div class="dp33">
          <div class="pad">
              <div class="num">3</div>
              <h2>Light &amp; Dark Variations</h2>

              <p>8 distinct inbuilt style variations, <b>Light</b> and <b>Dark</b>, to maximise the possibilities when using the <b>Afterburner</b> template. All Controllable by template manager parameters.</p>
              <a href="/free/afterburner/features/preset-styles" class="readon2"><span>Learn More</span></a>
          </div>
      </div>

      </div>
                  </div>
              </div>

      This works but the sizing is a little off. It does not stretch to the end of the template or close to the header and body, (refer to demo site). Any clues?

      Thanks again,
      Robert

    • Hello Robert,

      Like mentioned above, could you please ensure you publish the module in "showcase" position? As I see it seems the module is published at other position

      Hello Arifin,

      Your recommendation to use position "Showcase" works. I had it set to position "Advertisement". All is working as expected.

      Thank You, :)
