SOLVED How to make a blog page into columns and excerpts
Posted 8 years 7 months ago
Hi
I do voluntary work for non-profit organisations in the developing world and have been a long time member of RT's Joomla club.
Recently I have started helping organisations which have websites based on WordPress and have looked at RT re Wordpress templates.
It took a while for me to get my head round Gantry 5 - but am slowly getting there!
I did subscribe for 3 months to the RT Wordpress club but when I looked at converting some of the WordPress sites I volunteer to help with, some of the themes that are used have features that don't exist in RT Themes.
There is one particlar aspect that I woudl love to get my head around and that is the formatting of Blog pages.
Here is an example.
WFAC Cameroon uses a free theme called Codilight Lite from FameThemes.
It is very basic and I having looked at the Pro Version - not nearly as versatile as RT Themes.
But the theme has one thing which I really like - and that is the ability to easily create Blog Category Pages in a grid format.
Here is an example from the non profits site

I know I could do this with Rok Sprocket - but I would love to know how to 'make' RT Wordpress Themes do it automatically.
Every RT Wordpress theme shows in the demos, blogs in a standard format.
Is there anyway to make a blog page in a grid format without using Rok Sprocket?
It would make my day!
