How to remove "main menu" from the left...

  • How to remove "main menu" from the left...

Posted 14 years 11 months ago
    • I recently installed AFterburner on my website to serve as a CMS

      www.freedomcardboard.com

But I am finding the main menu marker on the top left column to be a bit redundant and annoying. I cannot figure out how to get rid of it though. Anyone know how to do that?

    • In the Admin Backend, go to Extensions->Module Manager

      Then click on "Main Menu"

As a radio button on the left side, you'll see an option to "Show Title". Just change that to "No".

    • I started typing too quick and thought this was the Joomla forum for Afterburner.

Very sorry. I'll have to brush up on wordpress to get you an answer there.

    • Hi Chris,

You can remove it manually from the sidebar-left.php and sidebar-page.php files in your theme directory. Just open these files and remove this code : pastie.org/private/fqhag098dg85lih3c8pb2q

      Cheers

I removed the code from sidebar-left.php in the rt_afterburner_wp folder and it worked like a charm!

    • Thank you, thank you, thank you...

      Wait...

      Thank you, thank you...

      Ok, I'm done.
      :cheesy:

I really apreciate your help Jakub

By the way, is there a way to remove the boxes "Categories", "Archive" and "Meta" from the right side menu in the afterburner template?

Because they are not listed in the wordpress admin Widget page.

So, I assume should be done manually, isnt?

      Thanks again Jakub

I think if I finally decide to renew my membership will be just for the support that guys like you offer on this forum.

      Take care
