Today I went through my admin and removed all the Rok items and anything else I could get rid of, then I FTP deleted anything that was left over too.

Then I installed the Crystalline bundle, it came up with some Blues (I assume blue means complete success) and some greens (not completely successful but passable?). When I then tried to access the Cystalline template I get the following error:

Fatal Error was detected!

Fatal Error: Call to a member function getDefaults() on a non-object in modules/mod_roknavmenu/lib/librokmenu/RokMenu.php on line 64

The error was detected in the Roknavmenu Module.

I checked that its the latest version of Roknavmenu, and it is. I reinstalled it seperately as well, but the error is still there.

- After doing all that, I then click on Crystalline, and the theme works
  
  So I have no idea why it didn't work first, or why it started to work. I will try another theme now, and see if it still works.

- Everything is working perfectly now, must have been one of the components I removed, pity I can't tell you which one for future reference.

  glad to know this is working now.
  in the install screen, green is for successful install and blue for successful updates, so all was good. maybe it was not working at first due to your cache, you always have to clean joomla and browser cache to be sure.

- Hi Kat,
  I've spent the entire day trying to figure out what is causing this error.
  I can install a Rocket Launcher and everything works as it should.
  (b.t.w. Radiance installs with v3.2.
  I can install Joomla 1.7 with sample data and add the rt_gantry_bundle on top and all is as it should be.
  
  What I CAN NOT do is add Gantry and a RocketTheme to an existing site.
  I have tried this on 2 host, and 3 servers.
  I have disabled every extension except Gantry and the Theme and the error remains the same.
  With Gantry v 3.2.8 the error is on line 357
  With Gantry v3.2.10 the error is on 363
  
  If I disable the gantry library and/or system plugin, the error remains the same. I'm testing this as I'm writing. I've disabled all the Gantry extensions and the error is still the same. I would think it would change to can't find Gantry Library????
  (I am clearing the cache between attempts and trying different browsers)
  The templates I've tried are rt_gantry, modulus, radiance, camber, and entropy.
  
  I have uninstalled every RT product and reinstalled. I have searched the database and purged any reference.
  
  I'm stumped.

- GOT IT!!!! It is the menu plugin from Gavick. Uninstalled that and everything is GOLDEN!!!!!
  (Disabling it doesn't work, has to be uninstalled)
  Edit: Might not be the plugin, but it is Gavick. I decided to try uninstalling each Gavick product one at a time and the first one was the theme App Phone. The removal fixed the error.

- Montano is correct. I had the same problem. I had to uninstall all Gavick templates and plugins to get my Gantry to work. Not sure why they are incompatible, and it appears that a simple unpublish won't work.
  
  I thought I had posted that in this thread or another. I apologize to all and to Kat if I somehow forgot and and caused others needless time wasted.
  
  Gavick and Rocket templates can not be installed on the same site together. You will get this error.

- I'm getting this error as well. My setup is as follows.
  1) default core joomla template for whole site
  2) Gantry Momentum template for section of site. Template assigned to 5 menu items.
  3) No 3rd party plugins/or modules other than RokStories.
  
  I get this error:
  
  Fatal error: Call to a member function getDefaults() on a non-object in /home/yourwebsite/public_html/modules/mod_roknavmenu/lib/librokmenu/RokMenu.php on line 64
  
  Now if I set the RT gantry template back to the site's default this goes away. This causes trouble if I'm wanting to use more than one template on my site. I'm using:
  Joomla 1.7.1
  Gantry version: 3.2.11
  RokNav Version: 1.6
  
  Hope they can solve this issue. Kat I can PM you with a link and login if required.

  your error is not the same as the one mentioned here originally.
  please try updating roknavmenu, or just make momentum the default template and assign the other default joomla template to those pages were you want to see it, that should work.
  
  if not, better start a new post, this one here is really getting difficult to follow up.
