  • SOLVED Gantry 4.04 Installation Failure

    • Hi. Today I updated a site that has been in development so that I replaced the Enigma template with the Kirigami template. I also updated all the other RT modules and plugins that would be used in Joomla 2.5.x. I then attempted to install Gantry 4.04. I received a message in the Extensions Manager that it had been successfully installed/updated. However, I could not find Gantry in the Template Manager. Thinking that I should have uninstalled the prior version of Gantry, I uninstalled all instances of Gantry and tried to install it again. I got the same result. I got confirmation from the Extensions Manager that it had been successfully installed, but again it did not appear in the Template Manager.

      Any idea what I'm missing? (It's probably something stupidly simple.)

      Server: Apache 2.2.20
      Joomla 2.5.6
      Joomla Platform Version: 11.9.0
      Gantry: 4.04
      All directories are writable, except configuration.php

      Unless you are running the actual Gantry template, you won't see Gantry in the Template Manager
      OR
      do you mean when you click on rt-kirigami you don't see the Gantry Admin screen?

    • Thank you. When I clicked on my template in the Template Manager, it took me to the configuration page, which indicates that it's powered by Gantry. So Gantry was installed and my problem solved.

      What threw me was the section entitled "Setting the Gantry Template as Default" (and the screen shot) on this page: http://www.gantry-framework.org/documentation/joomla/basics/installation . It shows Gantry appearing as a template in the Template Manager with the other templates.

      if you wish to see the gantry core template you can install the 2nd file from this page, called gantry-4.0.4.zip > gantry-framework.org/download
