    • HI,

I have created a site with Gantry 3.2 and Joomla 2.5.4.

The site was not developed with iPhone/mobile in mind. Now the client wants a few new pages to be set up to accommodate mobile inquiries from scanned QR codes that have been set up at trade shows.

So I created a new page, added a small image and limited copy, all with keeping mobile in mind.
Original Gantry template does not have iphone turned on
I created a copy of the main Gantry template, then turned on the iphone./android feature
i then created an override and assigned it ONLY to the page I created for the mobile viewers

When viewing on the iphone, it is not behaving like a mobile set up. THe page is reduced to fit instead of having the text fitting within the iPhone window, resizing and reflowing accordingly.

THe deve site is at http://www.abcpackagingdev.com

I created a hidden menu that I copied the link to the new mobile content which is here: http://www.abcpackagingdev.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=751

Does anyone have any experience with this? I am simply trying to get a few pages to conform to the mobile features of Gantry and not the entire site - because certain modules within the site are too wide.

I also tried to install Kirigami template, then assign it to that one menu item, but this didn't seem to work.

      Anyone?

    • If the site isn't sizing "down" to a proper mobile size then it mean that the template is still trying to create a full 960px (or whichever size) layout. Even if you decrease the number of modules it won't change the native behavior of Gantry. Do you have the iOS styling option enable in the template manager?

    • Well it doesn't look bad, but it's not a mobile theme.

Yes, the iPhone and Android themes are enabled for that menu item and template only. but when you visit the link, ...
What happens when you turn mobile on for the master template?
