custom less file not working

Hello,
I created a custom less file but it is not working at all.
I named the file template-custom.less but didn't work
I then named the file gantry-custom.less and also didn't work.
I placed both files inside " ../templates/gantry/less "
I am using gantry v 4.1.2 and joomla 2.5.7
( updated joomla to 2.5.8 )
When I use a custom css file named "gantry-custom.css" it works fine and changes are applied to the template.

When I use a custom css file named "gantry-custom.css" it works fine and changes are applied to the template.yes, but less is not CSS.
You have to modify the gantry.less to include your less file. (as far as i know)
