Adding Skyscraper Banner in Gantry Template

Hi @ all,
i want to create a module Position to publish a Skyscraper banner outside of the main page.
But i fail on getting it to work - i had added a Module Position with only 1 position in it, but i fail to put it outside of the 960px grid on the right side without to push the Content down.
Has anybody done something similar?
Before you ask: i can't use the sidebar!
First i have to use all 3 of them and second the skyscraper should only display outside of the grid if the Display is large enough.

no, sorry i am crating the page on my home server.
But the the banner position should be outside of the normal 960px grid.
Imagen the Gantry-Positions and the banner position should starting right next to the "top f"-position row and goes down to the footer-position row.

the height of the banner will always be set by the content.
Without a link I cant really do much for you.
I would just add a basic-module (not standard) and some css for the position.
But you could also just publish soemthing to the drawer position.
A mod suffix and some position: absolute will do the rest.
