vertical responsive menu

hello is there any way to make a vertical responsive menu?
I am using gantry template and i try to make a menu in sidebar but when using small screen devices it is not converting a menu into dropdown.
only the horizontal menu will work as responsive menu. Im using Joomla 2.5

Edit: I already figured out how to do it. but in sidebar how can i make that when the screen is small the drop down menu will be at the top of the content first

is there a way that when i put sidebar menu but make it appear bellow other module?it always appear on the top of everything:(
