Mainbody Layout Not Saving (sidebar widget selected)

Hi there,
just read that this is a bug in Wordpress Gantry.
I have the same issue in Joomla (Gantry 4.1.4 in Template Xemina).
As I create an override - with assign to a side that has sidebar-a the Gantry layout in admin will not save but changes allways back to mainbody full width
.
In frontend the sidebar does not change to leftside in the assigned menuitem either. The only thing that happens is that the children of the assigned menuitem change the width.
Would like to have some help

- Same problem here, it's not saving the override. for the mainbody, since last update sidebar is always jumping from left to rightside...

- I'm also having the same issue on a local host (Xampp) with a Ximenia 2.5 rocketlauncher install as well as a upgraded site (1.5->2.5 conversion). I've tried Chrome, Firefox, and IE. Doesn't seem to matter. Cleared cache, tried turning off the responsive template options, no difference. I change the layout, it says it saves, but when I refresh the layout settings page, or move away and come back to it, the settings are the same as before I adjusted them.

I was not able to replicate this on Ximenia Rocket Launcher, updated with latest Joomla, latest Gantry and latest versions of all extensions. I created a new override, changed the main body layout and it worked without issue. The backend settings were seen as expected and the results on the front end were the same.
Maybe try re-installing Gantry, just install it again from the extension manager (no need to do anything other than that to re-install). Also try using Akeeba Admin Tools - it's free here: www.akeebabackup.com/download/admintools.html - to update / reinstall the Joomla core files - then run all the permissions, directories and database utilities and see if that helps.
If you're still experiencing this issue, PM me your login. Whatever this is, it's something specific to your installs. If it were a bug in the framework, the exact same thing would happen to me. I just need to look under the hood to see if I can figure out what's happening. - The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

I have a similar problem with Joomla Oculus template. I've tried all the suggestions Cliffe Pfeifer made with no luck. I also deleted the override and created a new one but the result is the same - make changes to template layout for mainbody and showcase positions (to 1) and they fail to save.
Any other ideas?

I am having the same problem with Oculus now. This is a fresh site with the latest versions of Gantry and Joomla installed last week. Gantry says it's saving the changes but the Layout positions do not take the updates.
Any suggestions? Seems this has been an issue for quite some time....
