Where to change background color on Metropolis

- My Joomla version number is J-2.5
- My Rockettheme template version number is: metropolis
-My issue is:
I need to know where to go to import and change the back ground color of the template with my own background. I can see where to change the style in the template manager to load the 8 or so template default options. But I want to bring in my own custom background image.
I am new to webdesign so will need a beginner level path to get to this either in the ftp or ?
With details such as file type, file dimensions, file size, etc...
Also, is there an online source for getting decent background images that others have created.
