Site not working after Gantry update

Hi there, I have a site running Joomla 1.6.3. I just used the updater in Joomla to update Gantry, but now I'm experiencing the following error when accessing the front or back end:
Fatal error: Class 'JLog' not found in /home/akfkarate/akfkarate.com/plugins/system/gantry/gantry.php on line 67
I was able to comment out line 67 and other lines that refer to JLog, which enabled me to at least get into the back end, but I can't uninstall Gantry. Under Extension Manager I see:
- Gantry, Administrator, Component, 3.2.4
- Gantry, Site, Library, 4.1.8
- Gantry, Site, Component, 4.1.8
The front page on the front end is accessible, but it doesn't look right and other pages can't be accessed.
What can I do?

I am sorry but we really can't provide support for unsupported version of Joomla. You should have update your site from Joomla 1.6 to Joomla 2.5 long time ago
