  • SOLVED How can I get the menu to overlay my shopping cart?

    • Hello,
      I have a problem when I try to use my top menu on my VirtueMart shopping cart / checkout page. The problem is that the dropdown menu loses control to the checkout page. I need to have the menu fully functional at checkout time. Can someone please advise me on how to accomplish this?

      To recreate the problem go to zclientdev.net/stardev .

      1) go to the SHOP menu item
      2) from the dropdown select any category
      3) click on any item on category page
      4) add item to cart and show cart
      5) now you are viewing the shopping cart / checkout page
      6) then view any dropdown menu to see the overlay problem

      Joomla 2.5.11
      Gantry 4.1.10
      VirtueMart 2.0.20b
      PHP 5.3.16

      Open the following file - zclientdev.net/stardev/components/com_on...andwitch/onepage.css and at line 1431 change the z-index from 999999 to 10

      If this resolves your problem then please edit your first post in this thread by adding SOLVED at the start of the title and then select the green tick icon. This lets the moderators know that it can be moved to the solved section.

    • Hello David,

      Thank you for pointing me in the right direction! Unfortunately setting the z-index to 10 did not work however setting it to auto did. I greatly appreciate your assistance as I would not have found the correct z-index location on my own.

      z-index of 10 worked for me with Firebug but glad you got a solution and thanks for posting back as it may help others.
