Updating an older Gantry-based template to Gantry 4

I have a Template created based on the older gantry 3 Framework Default Template(non-responsive, and no CSS).
The template can be seen in use here : http://www.symbiotic-ubiquity.co.uk
I would like to update this to Gantry 4 but know damn all about less css.
I see Gantry 4 still has a css folder. Will it still pull my template.css, style1.css etc from this folder?
I also have a LOT more options available in template manager > template > styles and these are set up in the template-options.xml, styledeclaration.php and gantry.config.php
Will Gantry 4 still take all of these or do I need to modify the .less files in order for the template to work?

Just update Gantry to the latest version and everything should be ok but do a full site backup first of course

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me.
It works fine on Gantry 4, however, I would like to modify the template itself to make it based on the default gantry 4 template.... or rather, I would like to rebuild the template using the default gantry 4 template as my base in order to utilse the responsiveness.
Will the styledeclaration, template.css, style1.css gantry.congig.php be used? or do I need to convert all my stuff to less?

Your custom css should work but there is still one thing I don't understand
Do you plan to use Gantry4 base template and convert your existing template using that base template or what exactly. I have to admit that I am not following you at all what exactly are you trying to achieve - Check my services at: Mihha-Vision

Exactly this.
My question was about wether or not the css files that I used in the template would work ok within the new Gantry 4 default template. Not just the css files, but the styledeclaration.php and gantry-config.php files.
I have made quite a few modifications to the back-end of the default Gantry3 template as you can see from this screenshot:

- Since Gantry4 is backward compatible, it should work without a problem
