custom modlue position settings not be saved

i have CAREFULLY followed the steps for creating a custom module position and it does appear in the gantry template settings...however when i try to change the number of module positions, for example, the changes are not be saved...
settings i want...This image is hidden for guests.then i save it...and get this...
