Sidebar disappears then reappears after refresh of page

Hello,
I am using Gantry for several sites along with your templates. The sites have been running pretty well for around 2 years now. However, on some sites I am experiencing an issue where the sidebar position on the home page does not appear on initial loading of the page. When you refresh the page the sidebar appears again.
I have tried recreating the sidebar modules, recreating the override template, turning off and deleing the Gantry and Joomla! cache.
Here are two of the sites:

www.northforkreformsynagogue.org/
You should be able to confirm the problem by visiting the site and looking for the sidebar near the mainbody. The problem is pretty consistent so if you visit the homepage you won't see a sidebar. Refresh the homepage and the sidebar reappears.
I hope that someone can point me in the right direction.

hrm... I saw it on the first 2 sites in that new list... not really sure how to troubleshoot that... along with Gantry updates, template updates are a good idea...
