Why does it take more time to load a smaller file vs Larger image files? My pre-answer is it's not the file size, it's how the files are interpreted / compiled? (put together after downloaded to browser?)

      /thanks

    • In the future please use a more descriptive subject line. This will benefit you with a more rapid response from the most qualified person in a given area. Often times posts with generic subjects are overlooked due to the volume of posts that must be addressed.

Please take a moment to review the Forum Rules .

regarding your question: which smaller files are you referring to?

see the larger image files content load times and they appear to be the longest on the list.

    • Thanks for the reply and sorry I will try to post a better title from now on. I had made a mistake and I just want this page to load faster. How might I do that as I have tried loading smaller files which doesn't seem to be helping out the page load time.

      Thank you.

    • the site is loading fairly decently for me a 2.7MB page loading in 7 - 8 seconds. If you are on shared hosting that is not bad. You can compress image file sizes, and you can consider some of the recommendations from resources like GTmetrix to tweak it a bit. Personally I have recently switched to SSD hosting and it is worth every penny of difference. the load times are much faster than before.

    • Thank you for the reply, and sorry about my late one as well. I used Irfanview and pugins for the images and that helped greatly. i will next convert png to jpg for better results as well.

How come even with GZIP enabled as wll as RokBootser, it still suggests CSS compression please?

that is a question best posed to the peoople who created their testing system. I do not put a lot of stock in these testing systems grades. The timeline, in my view, is the thing to which one should pay attention.

Time to create page: 0.055 seconds
