    • Hello,

I am trying to write my new website using the gantry framework.
Unfortunatelly as much as i try implement gantry in the content i write, there is no true documentantion on it.
And i don;t mean the template options in the backend of joomala, i mean all the classes used to make the format the content in the articles.
What i do now is either see the content in the quickstart of each template and "imagine" how to make my content similar. But there are so many classes used in the articles and custom html modules presented in the quickstarts od the templates that i actually got quite confused.
The only documentation i see from you regarding responsice content is this article in your blog www.rockettheme.com/docs/joomla/basic/cr...esponsive_content.md
But there are a huge number of classes (gantry-left, gantry-right, gantry-width-block, rt-center etc...) used in your demo content in your quickstarts that are nowhere documented why, when and where to use them, what are the results and how to use them in our content.

I tried to use a bootstrap editor like "pingendo" but i don't think i should do so, because the css files produced use totally diferent classes than yours, probably overlapping with gantry's and i don't think thats the most clever think to do.

Could you give me a roadmap, a series of steps, of what should i do to learn more about writing content with gantry?
With the chance of Gantry 5 development finishing, would it be a full documentation of how to use its classes to create responsive content?

      Yannis

    • standard classes are documented on the given Template Demo's "Module Variation" page

classes created specifically for home page content/modules/plugins or general "demo styling" are documented within each module in the Template Documentation

Beyond that... it's GPL, take a peek under the hood... there may be classes that Gantry pre-defines out of ease in it's own internal coding... (gantry-right, pull-left, etc) but they're simply that... classes that the devs use to make their life easier... they are NOT classes that we've decided to document for user front-end publishing... the devs may change the content or the names of the classes without notice, delete them all-together, etc...

The only Gantry classes we have made for the front-end are indeed documented on that link your provided... the gantry-with-blocks...

The mainbody push pull schemas are broken down here: www.rockettheme.com/forum/member-submiss...hemas?start=0#510368

General Gantry documentation can of course be found here: www.gantry-framework.org/documentation/joomla
