When the buddybar is disabled it prevents admin login redirecting all wp-admin attempts to the front page. When the buddybar is enabled admin access is normal.
If you are experiencing this problem rename the gantry buddypress plugin directory which will then allow you access to the admin at which time you should be able to rename the folder back to it's original, access the plugin settings and turn the buddybar back on.
Please fix!
