404 error from blog category Older Entries link

Gantry theme / framework on WP 3.whatever the current version is.
I have categories set to display 5 posts (default), which it does, with an "Older Entries" link at the bottom. However, clicking on this link does not display the next page of entries, rather it returns a 404 error, which is not good...
Here is the first category page: fourstrings.com/category/weddings/
The link at the bottom is calling for this page: fourstrings.com/category/weddings/page/2/ which returns a 404.
FYI, it works perfectly in the main blog. Just categories seems to be the problem.
Any ideas?

After searching a bit, this seems to be an issue in Wordpress. Many others are reporting the same. Here are a few threads that might help.

I used the "Settings<Reading<Blog pages show at most [5] posts" method and it immediately corrected the problem.
