Assignment in Gantry doesn't work?

We are using Rockettheme Ximenia for a project creation in Wordpress and we can't get assignment to work in anything else than frontpage. Assigning a Gantry override to for ex. "Nyheter" ("News") a page that pulls posts from a category. It seem like the override doesn't have any effect at all?
Also in general we cant get the "Blog" Category parameters to pull items from a specific category ID.
Using ID's doesn'ty seem to have any effect at all.
(at same time I would ask if there is any issues with Gantry using it on newest Wordpress 3.61, could that be the reason to the issues we are having?)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

- Hello again thanks for lookin into this your advice works some of the way, but we cant get ahead with results of displaying things from a specific category, menu created "the wordpress way" selecting a category and making displaying posts, posts appear but f.ex. selecting 2 colomns display still produces only one columns, same when using the category ID version of Gantry doesn't produce the output we wish but produces all posts etc.

- Ok i was on the site and main menu is broken what did you do did you change any of the files? I tried to disable all plugins that are not related to RT but still doesn't work?
