Disabling Gantry Title Generation won´t work

Hi,
I´m not able to disable the generation of the gantry page-title in any Themes.
I want to use a 3rd-party Plugin for creating the Page-Title, but due to the fact that the Gantry Framework does this job and I can not turn it off, I cant use the 3rd-party Plugin.
Although I thought i have found a solution here:

the gizmo override won´t work for me in any template.
It seems that the Problem belongs to the Gantry-Framework.
Even if i try to override the settings for the title generation, the Title still looks like:
» PAGETITLE
no matter which template is used.
Does anyone else have this problem and maybe a solution for this?
