SOLVED WP Gantry 5 Hydrogen - 500 Internal Server Error

My wordpress install with gantry and hydrogen was working fine but now when i save anything in layout i get this error: 500 Internal Server Error Oops, Gantry\Component\Request\Input::getJson(): Syntax error.
THis only happens when I save in layout everything else like styles, content and settings work fine
Found the file and here is the code.. Could you see if there is an error somewhere?
IM not able to use gantry until this is resolved. Want to love gantry but frustrating... - Last Edit: 9 years 4 months ago by Bridget.

I FIXED IT!
ok so here is the deal... lately there was an automatic update for gantry 5 for wordpress that version was 5.2.4 however if you use hygrogen theme it stayed at 5.2.3.
But there was not automtic upate for hydrogen so i had to download hydrogen 5.2.4 and load that theme.. however it will not write over it so I ahd to rename the old hydrogen folder so i could install ones
HOWEVER BE AWARE that it will overwite any changes you did. so I have to do that again unfortunately.. I would sugges there has to be a better way for updates.. Gantry??? then this..

Step by step to upgrade the theme:
1. Rename the older theme folder.
2. Upload the zip file using the standards WP theme upload
3. Copy "custom" folder from older theme into the upgrade hydrogen theme.
4. Select the theme on WP backend.

These are the steps:
1. BACKUP THE SITE AND DATABASE FIRST
2. OVERRIDE the theme folder hydrogen with updated hydrogen theme and that's it you will not lose any settings don't know how this happen to you.
3. Clear Gantry 5 Cache and thats it! - Available for CUSTOM WORK with Joomla, WordPress and Grav Templates and Gantry Framework!
