Logo changing seems ineffective

I know this has been discussed... but am I missing something? I changed the logo in Gantry Base Settings using the logo editing area... but nothing changes...
I don't want to change in every outline... I want to changwe globally.. this is my first Gantry based wordpress site.. not my first wordpress site...
hints?
