Blog page & home page - HELP!

Theme: Audactiy
I've been trying for some time now to create a blog page where all the posts will go.
I've tried doing it through WP-Admin-reading but when I select my blog page for the posts, my home page appears on my blog page too and I have no idea why.
Then I have the 'homepage' post show on my homepage but i've managed to remove that via plugin as I'm not sure my child theme is working correctly.
I then go into widgets to see if I can remove them via customeriser but it shows up empty with just the posts (which is what I want)
I am currently using a category in my menu to have the serpate pages for the time being but I don't like it telling my readers its a category archive and so on.
If anyone can shed an easier solutions or any CSS or PHP solution would be grand as it's getting rather stressful. - Last Edit: 9 years 2 months ago by Shazda Ahmed. Reason: change words around
