Gantry framework Install problem.

  • Gantry framework Install problem.

    • Hey folks.
      Templates used: Crystalline, Quantive,
      File being used: gantry_joomla_framework-3.0.4.zip Gantry Framework for Joomla 3.0.4
      Gantry version 3.0.2 trying to upgrade to 3.0.4


      Permissions are set correctly as I have been doing many other things and installing modules,plugins etc with no issue.

      I have mentioned this in a Crystalline forum as well before when using that theme.
      The error is as follows.
       
        * It was not possible to copy the selected file.
        * JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /httpdocs/home/tmp/install_4c2ea966c78ae/./CHANGELOG.php to /httpdocs/home/components/com_gantry/CHANGELOG.php
 
 

      Out of curiosity is it possible to update it manually?
    • Yes I am dyslexic but does not mean that I am slow or can not read or write, just takes me a bit longer than most.

    • Yes, Sort of. I deleted the Gantry directory in the components directory and the directory in the administration directory.

      /components/com_gantry
      administrator/components/com_gantry

      Then you can re-install the new gantry component as usual with Extensions-install.

      That is how I managed to over come the issues.
