Gantry Framework Template

I'm using the current version 3.0.6 of the Gantry Framework to build my own template. In the template the modules are just styled with a solid background color (rectangle shaped). How would I go about updating the template to have rounded corners and colored edges (by using images)? Something similar to the Perihelion RT Template for example.

I looked through some of the php files and see that /html/modules.php assists in creating the module look and feel. Any help altering those code would be appreciated.
