all changes should always be applied to the files inside the template folder, NOT the files under com_gantry as those will be lost during the update.

I installed the syndicate template in and it was working OK. I then upgraded to Gantry 3.0.12 and most of the tempate properties seem to have frozen and can't be changed.
Worked through the above suggestion 1 and 2 but to no avail. Dom is enabled. Cleared cache in the browser (firefox) to no avail also.
Tried IE9 too to see if that solved a cache problem having not used it on the site before and that still didn't fix it.
php 1.5.14 is running on the server with no particular issues reported on my server.
The site is not critical at the moment so if you want to dive in and take a look I can PM you.

I have just reinstalled Gantry 3.0.11 to try and make the template manageable again. In doing so I noticed that it is now prompting me to upgrade to Gantry 3.1.12 that previously "broke" the template parameters page.
The actual update as I see it is to Gantry 3.0.12 not 3.1.12 is this a typo and or is that significant in this issue? (Or, most likely, is it me being daft and missing something completely about the versions?)

I normally leave gantry.css alone, except to change the default gantry logo width and background #rt-logo (lines 21 and 89). I'm also unhappy with its overrides for default list elements.
I don't see any changes in gantry.css for this version, so I assume that simply not including this file in my upload/upgrade should be fine.

gantry series 3.0 > 3.0.12 is latest
gantry series 3.1 > 3.1.2 is latest, 3.1.3 coming very soon.
both should work fine with any gantry template, except for hybrid which requires 3.1.2.
you can update gantry to 3.1.2 and if you have any issues, maybe best if you could start a new topic with all the details and then pm me the link to your topic (so i can reply there, since this thread is getting hard to follow up) and your site link and super admin details.

after a few senseless answers i´ve got finally a better answer from Strato: they wrote that the mb-string settings in the php-settings are:
'--enable-mbstring'
'--disable-mbregex'
and asked me to ask you to check my php.configuration to tell me what settings rockettheme needs and what you guess is the reason for the problem.

after updating a test-installation to gantry 3.14 ("# Fix for phpQuery bug when mbstring enabled but mbregex is not"- that was exact my problem) i got new problem in the phpQuery.php:
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_ereg_match() ....../com_gantry/admin/phpQuery.php on line 1834"
my hoster - strato AG - wrote me that they will try to work on it to enable the mbregex. but they cant promise it, because so many users would be affected cause my installations are on a shared hosted server ...

Server is FreeBSD 6.4 with PHP 5.2.14. DOM enabled.
When I uninstall Gantry 3.1.4 and install 3.0.11, the template editor will load properly. What do I need to do to fix this for the current Gantry? - Best wishes,

hi rae,
do you use the cache cleaner plugin? if so please make sure you get the latest version which includes a fix that fixes incompatibilities with gantry 3.1
