Please check your joomla permissions Rae. If you get those kind of errors it's because the cache is unable to write it's cache files.
Help -> System Information -> Directory Permissions.
They should be all green

I am having trouble editing the template "Dominion"
I uploaded the Joomla full packages with all the extensions but cannot access the template edit button it gives me this error, plus it does not show up to edit only change? Can some one tell me how to fix this

hi there,
I got exactly the same issue with a new joomla installation after installed one of your templates: No way to get in the template admin-area: Fatal error: .......components/com_gantry/admin/phpQuery.php on line 1421.
Hoster: STRATO AG.
Thank you Robert, I used your advice to roll back to Gantry 3.0.11 > and it works!

Hi Andy,
Yep, that did it. I had two that were not set. Fixed now. (For some reason I don't think to look in the system information area. I'll check that area more often after this.)
I wish there was a check point list for the issues with Gantry. It seems that I get new and different errors with each install or every other template change.

That worked for me too. But that cant be the final solution. As i understand the newer versions come with a lot improvements and there are allready some templates that require at least gantry 3.012.
And i dont understand why i dont get any more answers to my posts . Its really important for me to get that problem fixed. And Strato is waiting for the answer about my php.settings that i was hoping to get some posts before ...

Andreas, we have a workaround for you mb regex problem coming very soon.
As we've explained in this thread several times, Stratos is explicitly disabling mb regex, i have no idea why they are doing this, we've not encountered a single other provider doing this.
So basically we are going out of our way to get Gantry to work with your specific hosting provider, who doesn't seem to know what they are doing, or why they are doing it. This is a Stratos problem, but as they can't seem to be bothered to fix it, we are.
If you ask me that's pretty darn good service on our part.

FIX FOR STRATO HOSTING:
Just extract this zip file that contains phpQuery.php file, and copy over your existing "components/com_gantry/admin/phpQuery.php" file:
The fix is in SVN so it will be part of the next Gantry release. We just don't want to do a fresh release of Gantry right now for this tiny fix.
