How to extract settings from Gantry?

Hi,
Is there a way to use the CSS settings made in Gantry and use them in other CSS files? Example: I want to use the color set in Gantry to highlight the active (sub)menu item. Or check the default font setting and use that to format K2 items.
I know that I can manually override CSS settings but am looking for an automatic way to extract the settings from Gantry and apply them in my template overrides.
