When are you going to update this help page with directions on how to do this for Joomla 1.6?

There is no "params" tag in the templateDetails.xml file so I have no idea how to add in a new module position.

- Hi, I can't tell when the documentation will be updated. After taking a look, I believe this code has been moved to "template-options.xml". Starting at around line 420 is where the module positions are defined. The code is a bit different than what is on the documentation, but go off of what is in the file - copy one and edit it to suit your needs. Hope that helps.
