Can someone from RT please post clear instructions on upgrading Gantry? I find your current documentation for a Gantry upgrade to be out of step with your package names.
For instance, your documentation talks about the Gantry library, yet none of your packages (nor your instructions, reference a Gantry library.
Please make the life of your developers easier with clear documentation on the upgrade process, as many of us are struggling with defective Gantry/RT Templates. - "When a man has pity on all living creatures then only is he noble."

I'm not with RocketTheme, just a user such as yourself, but I've just installed updates just like any other Joomla template. Use the Joomla Installer. You don't have to un-install the prior version of Gantry, just install the new version over the old. If you've made changes you might want to note those changes as you most likely will have to add them back.
I have several sites using Gantry and RocketTheme templates and I haven't had any issues yet. Backup first though as always is recommended.

hi there,
not sure which one you're using now, but you should be able to install the new one on top of the existing one.
where did you read up on gantry 'library'? usually we use the term 'framework', but gantry has gone through some big changes since its first release in dec. 2009, so maybe the term 'library' is still present somewhere.
