  • Gantry Cannot Be Uninstalled or Deleted

    • I cannot delete / uninstall gantry to create a clean install of gantry.
      I've attempted to find the files via ftp, myphpadmin and the backend program xtplorer.

      All have failed to remove the files shown below.

      NOT SOLVED. GAVE UP AND REINSTALLED FROM BACKUP. GANTRY WHEN BROKEN...IS BROKEN.

    • First things first:
        What was the problem that led you to attempt removing Gantry?
        Which version of Joomla?
        Is this a Clean Install or RocketLaunch install?
        Did you back-up with Akeeba before this happened?

      I'm interested in knowing what your problem with Gantry was, WHY you thought you should remove the core framework, and which modules were enabled. All of these things can and will affect your site. I'll check here later to see if I can help.

      For the record, the first thing I'd so is simply reinstall Gantry over whatever you removed. Go grab the latest version and just pop it in there. It is always possible it will correct the problem (VERY possible). It should make it functional (if nothing else) until we can work this out.

    • Yes...reinstalling gantry just keeps the same problem alive.

      I'm trying to remove gantry to get a clean install.
      The backend of gantry has failed so I have no control over it and there are multiple installs of gantry, as shown in the first post which I can NOT remove.
