  • Gantry Update Inserts Non Working Item into Components Menu

    • I guess I made the mistake of using Discover -> Update to update Gantry. After using it, I now have a new menu item called "com-gantry" inserted into the Components menu. Selecting it generates the following error:

      500 - An error has occurred.
      String could not be parsed as XML
      Return to Control Panel

      I can't tell yet what other damage this has done. Anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Kat?

    • Remove Gantry framework and install it manually from the beginning

      Thanks! Not exactly clear what you mean by manually - uninstalling and reinstalling worked fine, I think.

      But the current version does appear "discoverable". Is there a way to install Gantry and have it work okay with auto updating with Joomla 2.5.x?

      Since I just ran into the same problem, it would be good to know why it's discoverable.

      In any case, I followed Igor's instruction, uninstalled then reinstalled, and that took care of the com_gantry appearing in Components.
