BEFORE upgrading to Gantry4 - READ THIS!

As you will have seen we have now released Gantry 4. Before diving in and upgrading your site we STRONGLY recommend that you ensure that you have upgraded all other Rocket Theme extensions to their latest versions first (especially extensions like ROKNAVMENU). Also, you should ensure that you have the latest stable version of Joomla too (currently 2.5.6).
Also, remember TAKE A BACKUP FIRST - just in case. The RT Team have successfully upgraded many many sites using all our different templates and we believe we have overcome all known issues.
Also, remember if things don't go well with your upgrade - you can always downgrade back to Gantry 3.2.22 http://code.google.com/p/gantry-framework/downloads/list?can=1&q=platform%3Djoomla25&colspec=Filename+Summary+Uploaded+Size+DownloadCount+Type+Platform .
If members experience any difficulties we want to know about it - please give us as much information as you possibly can in order to ensure a speedy resolution.

Are all the templates work should work with the new version of Gantry?

No don't worry about the name of the file it's for j2.5.
Report template problems with gantry4 in the appropriate template forum. All templates that work on j2.5 work with gantry4.

Filenaming is about my only complaint I ever have with RT. It should really follow the branch...2.5.x. - Thank you,

- Blame Joomla for its ridiculous numbering system, not our fault! We would of loved to have named things _2, but no it was 16, then 17 then 25.

- Yea I know Andy...just saying...RT is the only club that I always question myself when I am about to update something. It is mostly the extensions naming that always gets me.

OK, But....
Probably better for everyone to keep such numbers for Joomla ex. "mod_roknavmenu_j256-v160.zip" or "mod_roknavmenu_1.6_for_j256.zip
I can not like the name of her letters "j" because associate with Joomla. Please take this into consideration. Legibility for users is also important.

OOPS!
gantry 4 is not working for me: I tried it on local (XAMPP) and Joomla 2.6, I used both the bundle and the launcher, always emptying the database before installlation, but there are problems in joomla backend and gantry template doesn't work, blocking the backend...
Any idea?
