Template presets broken after Gantry Upgrade

I have upgraded to Gantry v4.0.3. After upgrade our Crystalline template styles are incorrectly displayed on certain pages even though the settings have not been changed. I have tried to re-save the preset styles and this corrects the page layout until the page is refreshed – then the style is blown out again.
Also, re-saving the presets for pages effects other saved page presets adversely. It puts header graphics from one preset into another preset and changes colors randomly. It’s a mess.
I am using the latest version of Joomla 2.5 - Here is what I have done to try to fix things:
Updated RokNav Menu, RokSprocket, RokBooster
Cleared Gantry cache
Tried to copy style and create new preset versions but templates styles will only show correctly for a few minutes before messing up again
Thinking of downgrading to an earlier version. Will that damage anything?
Any advice will be appreciated. Should I try to reinstall Gantry 4.0.3?

Just wanted to update this message. As a possible solution recommended by MrT on this forum, I have now downgraded the Gantry Framework on our website to version 3.2.22. This seems to have taken care of the errors with presets and the site appears to be stable.
Wish I had done it sooner instead of spending an entire day trying to figure out how to fix it.
So, if anyone else is in the same boat, this solution may work for you too.
