    Alignment not right on laptop screen

    Posted 12 years 1 month ago
    • Hi, loving gantry. But I hit a small problem - my site looks fine when viewing on a desktop PC.. but on a laptop screen, there is a problem. If you view v2.marlownailandbeauty.co.uk you can see a roksprocket module.. 'find a treatment'. The boxes are overlapping... whereas on the regular screen, they are nicely spaced out. I managed to fix it by setting the 'left:20%' to 'left:25%; (which makes sense as there are only 4 columns..) but I wasn't sure if it would break something else.. and also the left border was missing with this change. Can anyone help understand why it's not correct? Are roksprocket & gantry not compatible.. / setup to work? Thanks in advance.

    • try to ad this to your css

      div.sprocket-mosaic ul.sprocket-mosaic-container.sprocket-mosaic-columns-4 {
      margin: -1px;
      }

    • Hi Henning :) Long time no see. Thanks for the response...

      I tried your suggestion, but they are still overlapping. I removed the 'left:25%' code for now, as it was only applying to one of the columns at a time.. and getting messy

      I looked at the css, and if you look at the second module in the sprocket, it has 'left:20%' ... which is where the overlap comes from... and it's the same for the others... it's like the css still has rules there for a 5 column setup.. ? This css is generated by the system, so it just says 'element.style' in firebug.. it seems like a problem with the code being generated from roksprocket?

    • they are all left:20%, next one is left:40%, next one is left 60% .. you see what I mean about it having the css for a 5 column setup? strange?

    • the devs are working on the issue (wich is mostly on webkit browsers) ... that code worked for me on your site. Did you really clear your cache?

    • Thanks for passing the issue on.. good to get it fixed.

      I've cleared browser history, cache, everything, but it doesn't fix it (I'm using chrome). However, I loaded it on Firefox, and it is OK. It seems the issue is now just on chrome? Safari is OK, i just checked it.

      Also, the only other problem I have noticed, is the buttons. When you mouseover buttons in the top positions, the text changes colour to black. When you mouseover the same buttons, in lower positions, the button just has a nice rollover animation.. how can I get the top buttons to behave like this? I tried copying over the css, but I must have done something wrong. WOuld be nice to have all the buttons behaving the same

    • Ok.. thanks Henning.. any reason why it's not working on chrome though, and is on the others? A bit strange, as I thought it was the same as the other webkit browsers.

      Any timescale for the updated gantry? Thanks
