Can´t change layout positions

Template: Kirigami
I can change everything in the template settings but the layout positions.
If I change e.g. the MainBody Positions from 1 to 3 and save, I get a massage "successfully saved".
After refreshing MainBody Positions is 1 again.
Error reporting maximum but no PHP errors.
All fies writable.
Where is the layout configuration beeing stored? I don't see any .ini file. - Last Edit: 12 years 6 months ago by boernik.

The important thing is that not only at least one module has to published to the specified positions. It also has to be published to ALL pages.
This is very confusing when changing layout settings. Using dummy modules only should be a workaround.
