- If you want to use the same template configuration on multiple menu items then this is possible. If you need to have different template configurations then you have to duplicate template as many times as you have different template configurations

No it won't at all. If you for example, check my tutorial I wrote about creating multilingual web sites you will see that I duplicated template numerous times to achieve effect I was looking for
