Trying to make a custom template using Gantry Default J3

Hi,
I am trying to create a custom template (installer) using the default Gantry template.
My customer wants the template to have custom names (their own corporate name) and so I have gone through the template files and edited/updated instances of the name "Gantry" with "Customer".
I also renamed the "gantry" folder which the installer needs to reference to "customer". However, now, the installation fails with the error "Template installation failed Install path does not exist"
I know that if I rename the folder back to gantry the install will succeed. However, gow do I change the path so that the install succeeds using the customer's name? - Thank you.
